Can Güzeliş

Can Güzeliş was born on 27th of July 1978 in Istanbul. He had finished
his High School in Ozel Kalamis in year 1996. Then on he went to
Oxford to study Business. He had graduated from Oxford Brookes
University (www.brookes.ac.uk) with an outstanding first class honours
on Business Administration and Management. He had been awarded the
Best Performance Prize in his first year; rarely given to International
Students. He is still the Alumni leader for Oxford Brookes Business School
in Turkey. Following his studies in Oxford, he had completed his MSc
studies in Leeds University on International Marketing Management.

up two degrees from two Internationally reputable University.

Right away, he started working for CMC Turkey (Customer
Management Center) (www.cmcturkey.com) as a Project Development
Specialist. CMC is the biggest independent Call Center in Turkey
providing CRM and eCRM solutions to reputable business customers.

He founded CFI (Claes Fornell International) Group Turkey in 2002 to
measure customer and employee satisfaction index for both individual
businesses and industries as a whole. (www.cfigroup.com) Basically, CFI
Group assists its clients worldwide to maximize shareholder (or other
stakeholder) value by optimizing customer and employee satisfaction. A
version of the same methodology is used in the American Customer
Satisfaction Index (ACSI) (www.theacsi.org), for which CFI Group has
developed the software and licenses it to the National Quality Research
Center at the University of Michigan.

In year 2003 he had developed projects for Ulusoy Maden Insaat
Inc. As a result, he had attracted a billion dollar contract from Jebel Ali
International to a FTZ (Free Trade Zone) in Istanbul; Sabiha Gökçen
Airport. (The ITEP Project) (www.jafza.ae) The consortium leaders were
as follows: Jebel Ali International, Ulusoy Maden Insaat, The Services
Group (www.tsginc.com), Brookwood Capital. The offer was made to
SSM (Savunma Sanayi Mustesarligi) namely Undersecretariat for Defence
Industries for 50 years of leasing the land. (www.ssm.gov.tr) The project
is pending due to insufficient political interest and lacking managerial
skills of the Turkish government officials to attract FDI (Foreign Direct
Investment).

He has been awarded on 26.11.2004 by the "Blue Diamond Laboratory";
the Certificate of Diamond Grading and Identification. (The Course for

He also holds a certificate from the Scottish Whiskey Heritage Center in
Edinburg for his contributions on the R&D facilities to improve end-user

imported Lush (hand-made cosmetics and soap) (www.lush.co.uk) from the
UK to Turkey several times until he discovered the poor quality of the
products does not match up with Turkish consumer interests even though
the prices are competitively low in the market. (Lush is now in Turkey)

He then joined to his base in Malatya to start up his military service.
(25.02.2005) He served in the Personnel Department of the Turkish
Land Forces namely "S-1" in Sivas/Temeltepe. He holds two greeting
awards for best performance from his barracks managing officer. (Infantry
Commander - Major Mehmet ATES) He also attended an airplane modelling
certificate programme in Sivas where he was awarded with an excellence
certificate by the Turkish Aerospace Industries. (www.tai.com.tr)

Can Güzeliş currently owns a jewellery shop in Grand Bazaar (www.
kapalicarsidergisi.com - www.kapalicarsi.org.tr), Turkey and 2
others in Kuyumcukent (www.kuyumcukent.com.tr) He established the
Rose Diamond brand in year 2005. He now deals with rough and polished
diamonds as well as finished products from two reputable Sightholder of
De Beers Company.
Rose Diamond transfers these diamonds and jewellery
to Turkey and trades them to several well-known wholesalers. (family
business for over 40 years) Apart from this, he manufactures hand-made
14K gold costume jewellery using valuable stones such as ruby, sapphire
and emerald. He exports them to U.K. as 9K, examples of which can be

He plays Go (Chinnese Strategy Game) (Weiqi, Baduk, Igo) at 9 kyu ranking,
Member of Istanbul Go Club (IGO),
He uses MS Flight Simulator regularly for IFR scheduled flights,
Amateur piloting is what he tries to be good at; member of IHK.
